CRYODESTRUCTION

Renewal of the epidermis by means of liquid nitrogen.

A comprehensive, individualized, anonymous approach to treatment.

Cryodestruction is one of the methods of cryotherapy, a method for removing various neoplasms, using fractions of liquid nitrogen-gas without color, taste and smell. When treating the skin area with liquid nitrogen, the tissue destroyed by cold is not removed, but remains in place, forming a protective “scab” that covers the wound and protects it from possible infection. Removal of neoplasms using liquid nitrogen is painless – the patient only feels cold and slight numbness in the treated area.

Wounds after cryodestruction are healed quickly enough and without consequences. Basically, cryodestruction is used to remove neoplasms on the shoulders, arms, legs, ears, neck, and body.it is preferable to use other methods for the face. After some time after the procedure, the wound is covered with a dry crust, under which healthy tissue grows. The wound after cryodestruction does not need any special treatment, and the wound itself can be wetted a few hours after the procedure, which is very convenient if, for example, the mole was removed on the hand.

The method of cryodestruction consists in applying liquid nitrogen to the skin by a dermatocosmetologist (as the boiling point is known -195.8°C). A doctor with special tools carefully causes liquid nitrogen to the desired area of the skin, after application, the skin is frozen and disappears. Thus, the procedure is perfect for removing various types of warts (vulgar, flat, etc.), cryomassage of the face, removing small wrinkles, skin renewal.

Cryodestruction is considered a non-dangerous and easily endurable procedure. Contraindications are standard. It is forbidden to do this for infectious diseases, oncology, pregnancy, etc.

After the procedure, it is necessary to avoid direct sunlight on the treatment area, as well as 1-2 weeks to exclude trips to the baths and saunas.

Cryodestruction is most often chosen in cases where it is necessary to remove pigmented spots, papillomas, condylomas, warts, keratomas, moles that protrude above the skin surface.

The advantages of cryodestruction can be attributed to the “bloodless” operation – the area of necrosis does not bleed hereinafter and the procedure itself passes without disturbing the capillaries and blood vessels in the area of the treated area. The technique of cryodestruction does not require the use of analgesics, because rapid cooling of tissues to ultra-low temperatures leads to numbness and actually freezes the nerve endings in the surface layers of the epidermis. Perhaps the biggest advantage of cryodestruction is aesthetic: after the procedure, unlike some other methods of removing neoplasms, there are no ugly scars and scars.

It is also impossible to ignore the other advantages of the procedure – first, its relative simplicity. Relative – because the removal of neoplasms should still be done by a certified specialist of the appropriate qualification in a specialized medical institution, and not by an employee of a beauty salon. In addition, do not forget that the decision to remove the neoplasm, as well as the method for removing it – surgical, laser, cryodestruction or electrocoagulation – is always taken by the doctor after a comprehensive examination of the patient.

It is a well-known fact that a neoplasm can have both a benign and a malignant nature, and it is possible to determine this only by conducting a special examination – histopathology (histology). It is very important that the removal of neoplasms by cryodestruction prevents possible metastasis both during and after the procedure.

Patients will certainly be pleased with the fact that the removal of neoplasms using cryodestruction does not require a long preoperative preparation, any special conditions. The procedure is almost atraumatic compared to other methods of removing neoplasms, such as electrocoagulation, after which the skin may remain burned. At the site of necrosis formation, there is no intoxication and, finally, the method is universal, practically has no contraindications, which allows it to be used for removing neoplasms in patients of any gender, age, the presence of any concomitant and chronic diseases.
